As we look back on a year of growth and innovation, we are excited to share a few special announcements that mark significant milestones for the Beef Initiative. These developments are a testament to the power of collaboration, vision, and community engagement.
1. Rancher's Storefront
Introducing the Ranchers Storefront, the first brick-and-mortar store that complements our online efforts, situated in the heart of Canyon, TX. This store is a collaboration with Tir Bluen, Panhandle Processing, and Texas Slim's Cuts and symbolizes the very beginning of our community revitalization plan for Canyon.
The inception of Ranchers Storefront can be traced back to over three years ago when I first met Justin Trammell in Canyon's county square, just blocks from where I was born. This store is not just a physical space; it's a manifestation of our commitment to bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds of the beef industry.
2. Florida Beef Micro Summit 2024
We are excited to announce The Florida Beef Micro Summit 2024! This event will bring together the Cattle Industry and Bitcoin in a way that’s sure to start 2024 off right! This summit is a collaboration between the Florida Beef Initiative and Bitcoin Bay Foundation and is set to take place on February 4, 2024, at Fort De Soto Park in Florida.
Highlights of the Summit:
A Brief History of the Modern Day Cattleman: Guided by industry stalwarts like Ruffshot June and Texas Slim, explore the rich culture of the Modern Day Cattleman.
Shake your Rancher’s Hand: Connect with leading figures in the beef and Bitcoin industries.
21st Century Technology: Learn how peer-to-peer technologies like Bitcoin are changing the beef supply chain for the better.
Cattleman’s Feast: Enjoy a Florida Cattleman’s Feast by Chef Dan, featuring a tasting of grass-fed beef from Circle 6 Farm and locally sourced seasonal veggies.
Community-centered Meat Packing: Discover the role of microprocessing centers in local food sovereignty.
Exclusive Speakers: Hear from pioneers like Texas Slim, Ruffshot, Leonard Horak of Circle 6 Farm, Justin Trammell of Tir Bluen Farm, Dr. Phillip Ovadia and Dr. Robert Kiltz on various aspects of the beef industry and health.

3. Launch of Born to Be Free
It is with great excitement that we present Born to Be Free, an innovative product line resulting from a synergistic partnership between the Beef Initiative and the ingenious duo, John and Nadja.
The genesis of Born to Be Free can be traced back to the persistent and passionate endorsement of our products and ranchers by John and Nadja. Their fervor gradually transformed into an ambition to create a product line that truly represents the essence of its origin – a 'source-of-the-seed' philosophy. We are immensely thankful for this journey and the unwavering commitment it symbolizes.
The 'Born to Be Free' skincare line is meticulously crafted using tallow, sourced and rendered by Redbanks Beef Farm. Our paths crossed with Redbanks at the Ginger Hill Angus Micro Summit in April, laying the foundation for this remarkable collaboration. This product is not just a testament to quality and meticulous care; it is a tribute to our commitment to sustainable, community-centric practices.
In addition to product development, we have also established their digital marketplace and implemented a Bitcoin Point-of-Sale system, underscoring our dedication to digital empowerment and peer-to-peer exchange. We eagerly look forward to sharing more about this journey and the impact it heralds.
