The echoes of the past year play like a symphony in my mind, each notes a poignant testament to The Beef Initiative's trajectory. Our series of Micro-Summits, from the inaugural gathering in Kerrville, Texas, to the Colorado Beef Summit, and the final convergence of 2022 at the Georgia Beef Summit, has sparked a blaze in our movement that's igniting hearts across the country.
For those just joining us, The Beef Initiative's Micro-Summits are a collection of gatherings that connect ranchers, farmers, and health-conscious consumers. They serve as vibrant platforms to share insights on nutrition, business, Bitcoin, and agriculture. It's at these summits where we knit together our community, intertwining ideas and goals into a vision of sustainability and health that prioritizes people and their local communities over profit.
It all kicked off in the heart of Texas, at the Museum of Western Art in Kerrville. This was where our first #BeefIntelligence Summit unfurled its wings, as we began to thread together the varied domains of our cause into an innovative tapestry of sustainability. We convened as thought leaders, industry trailblazers, passionate advocates, and, most significantly, as a community stitched together by common goals and values. This first historical event could never have happened without the pioneering work of Cole Bolton of K&C Cattle in Central Texas and Jason Wrich of Wrich Ranches in Colorado.

The Kerrville Summit was our lighthouse, a beacon illuminating the path toward a future where well-being is prized over profit margins. We explored the potential of Bitcoin to level the global financial playing field, the indispensability of nutritious meals, and the promise of regenerative agriculture. Savoring locally reared, Texas beef from K&C Cattle, we listened to our community's chorus, with each voice contributing their unique note to our symphony.
From Texas, we migrated to the Wrich Ranches' scenic expanse in Colorado. In this serene setting, we dug deeper into the soil of our mission, unearthing the practicalities of our vision. We swapped experiences, shared knowledge, and refined our collective vision for a future where power is in the hands of the many, not the few.
The Colorado Summit was a testament to the power of hands-on learning and our community's resilience. We were inspired by the fervor of Jason Wrich, our gracious host and a leader in The Beef Initiative, and Econoalchemist and Matt Odell Bitcoin educators. We listened to the stories of Weldon and Ann Warren, fellow Texas ranchers, and gleaned lessons from the Meat Mafia.
Our odyssey culminated at the Food Intelligence Summit nestled in the green pastures of Bluffton, Georgia at White Oak Pastures. We convened a diverse cross-section of our community, from ranchers to Bitcoin enthusiasts. The insights shared broadened our perspectives on regenerative land management, self-sovereignty practices, the health benefits of grass-fed beef, and Bitcoin mining. We left with an enriched understanding, a culmination of the wisdom imparted by seasoned cattleman Will Harris and the innovative "Podfather", Adam Curry.
Before we delve into the chronicles of our 2023 summits, I'd like to give thanks to 2 integral figures within The Beef Initiative that we collaborated with at the Tennessee Microsummit in December of 2022 - Dr. Brooke Miller and Dr. Shawn Baker.
Dr. Shawn Baker MD is an orthopedic surgeon, world champion athlete, international speaker, and best-selling author. He is a leading authority on treating disease with medical nutritional therapy and is the Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer at Revero.
Dr. Brooke Miller is the immediate past president of the US Cattleman's Association and a seasoned rancher and seed stock operator, Dr. Miller has played a pivotal role in guiding our journey. His in-depth knowledge of the industry and unwavering commitment to sustainable practices have significantly enriched our initiative.
This synergy was significantly showcased during the Association's annual national convention. Here, The Beef Initiative, supported by Dr. Miller, Dr. Baker, and our community, orchestrated the Cattleman's Feast. This culinary celebration represented our collective commitment to delivering high-quality, locally sourced beef.
Dr. Miller embodies the spirit of collaboration that is central to The Beef Initiative. His tireless efforts are a constant reminder that shared knowledge and cooperative action are the keystones to a healthier, more sustainable future. We're privileged to collaborate with him and the US Cattleman's Association as we continue to lead with beef and make waves in the industry.
Each Micro-Summit was a milestone, a celebration of The Beef Initiative's growing momentum. These events encapsulated the essence of collaboration and innovation that pulses at the heart of our movement, showcasing the transformative power of community and individual potential.
Gratitude fills us as we glance in the rearview mirror. We're indebted to American Thought Leaders, particularly to the show's host, Jan Jekielek, for providing us with a platform to amplify our voice, giving resonance to the Great American Rancher. But above all, we're thankful for you, our community.
As we stride into the future, we're energized by what lies ahead. We're eager to see our movement rejuvenate small towns and cities across the nation, bringing the community and the ranch closer together. We're thrilled about the transformative power of collaboration and active participation that will reshape the beef industry's future.
So, we extend an invitation to join us in this endeavor. Whether you're a producer or a consumer, there's room for you in our ranks. Explore our network of ranchers, find the beef that resonates with your taste, and support local economies. Cherish traditions that sustain us, and make choices that align with your values.
This isn't just a movement—it's a revolution. And it begins with you.
From one man’s vision and a handshake, we have now become a global movement by giving the Great American Rancher/Producer a voice they have never had. We are feeding 1000’s of families, giving newfound market access, and saving children’s lives. This is one big International Health Initiative that has momentum.
As we set our sights on the path ahead, we bear in mind the words of our founder, Texas Slim: "We lead with beef." And that's exactly what we'll do.
Stay tuned for Part 2, where we delve into the 2023 Beef Intelligence Summits, including the momentous gathering at the Ginger Hill Angus Summit, the backdrop for the most recent episode of American Thought Leaders, and the soon-to-be world-famous Cattleman’s Feast first held at 2BarC Ranch.
Intrigued by our journey and eager to become part of the change? We have two critical questions for you:
1. Are you ready to join a movement that fosters sustainability, prioritizes health, and builds connections between local ranchers and communities?
2. Do you believe in the power of your choices to redefine the food industry and protect your community?
If your heart resonates with a 'Yes' for these questions, we urge you to take action. Start by exploring our network of ranchers, choosing locally sourced beef, and spreading the word about our cause. Remember, every step you take echoes in the grand halls of change. Let's lead with beef, together.
Much love and grace,
Texas Slim
