Beef Initiative Updates
We’re thrilled to share that RanchMama Shanen, who you all know from our Beef Initiative weekly email series, was recently featured on CNN! Check out her appearance here.
Here’s one of our favorite emails that RanchMama sent following the Cattleman’s Feast:
"A Quarter Century! Wow, time really does fly! After 25 years of being married, Beau & I took a vacation with just us! We loaded the trailer and traveled 4 hours north to a horse show... Yep, we still took animals on our Anniversary vacation!
My horse hurt her leg on day 3, and we enjoyed watching the cowhorse classes together! Someone asked if we wanted to go find a hotel with a pool, but no, we enjoyed watching good horses work cattle!!
During this vacation, you could also find me on the back of my horse working on my phone while I was waiting for a class to start. I was behind the scenes, making sure you had all the info you needed to make the Cattleman's Feast a huge success!!
I wish I could have joined over 600 of you at the Feast, but family is important too! Today, I start my 48th year of life proud to be a tiny part of The Beef Initiative. I'm proud of the amazing team of Ranchers that helps feed all of you! If you check out Instagram today, you'll probably see pictures of me running around in my little Jeep, or on the back of a roan horse!"
RanchMama’s dedication to the Beef Initiative and her passion for the ranching lifestyle is truly inspiring. We’re grateful to have her as part of our community.
What’s Next?
