One Ranch, One Family at a Time
Hurricane Helene has devastated our neighbors in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia, leaving flooded fields and disrupted livelihoods. In response, the I Am Texas Slim Foundation, in partnership with FAFO Farms and Free Texas News, has stepped up to deliver critical supplies and aid. As Texas Slim says, “We’re not asking for permission. We’re delivering aid one ranch, one family, one handshake at a time.”
Beyond the immediate relief efforts, ranchers like RanchMama Shanen of Ebersole Cattle Co. are using innovative ways to help those affected. Her Feeding Forward Beef Sticks initiative has sent over 300 Grassfed Beef Sticks to survivors, providing a nutritious, non-perishable food source. These beef sticks, which can be kept without refrigeration, are essential for those facing long days without power or proper meals.
For every bundle of beef sticks purchased, 10 sticks are donated directly to hurricane survivors. These easy, on-the-go snacks are more than just food—they’re a lifeline for farmers and ranchers working tirelessly to rebuild. As Farmer Jenny from Georgia shared, “Beef sticks have saved me this week!”
The I Am Texas Slim Foundation and The Beef Initiative are making sure that folks on the frontlines of disaster receive the help they need. Donations of feed, fencing, and salt licks are being delivered to locations like Elk River and West North Carolina Livestock, ensuring that the right resources reach those in need.
