A Prayer from the Beginning
On Halloween 2010, I walked into my living room in Austin, Texas.
See, I truly am just a little kid from Canyon, Texas, with no formal education. I grew up in agricultural poverty, and so did my best friend and wife. She, too, is just a little kid from Canyon, Texas.
I was contracted out by several big tech companies, and we had just relocated back to Austin from the dirt roads of West Texas and the southeast part of New Mexico—a place I like to call the “Deadlands.”
The person standing across from me that night was not that little kid from Canyon, Texas. That moment in time, that angle of view I was witnessing on Halloween 2010...
