Howdy Ya’ll
It’s Sunday and I’m sittin in my hometown. I’ve got a view out the window of my windmill. It gives me peace. Here in West Texas, the wind blows, and the sky is big. But, I’m tellin ya, when that wind ain’t blowin' and that Llano Estacado sun is not blaring down, my hometown is paradise.
It’s the end of the Great Plains, and yes, the Buffalo once roamed right underneath my boots. I come from a fascinating place that was once called Commacheria. It’s the last place in Texas that was established after the longest-standing war in the US. The Comanche Wars.
There is a book out there called “Empire of the Summer Moon.” You can get it on Amazon. Quannah Parker grew up and fought in these parts. It’s a fascinating story. I suggest you get ready for a rabbit hole of discovery in many directions. Especially now that you and I are good friends.
I grew up with a freezer full of beef, and my momma fed me like a bird. I was cooking burgers from our rancher/processing friends; we had a bunch of them back in the day. We were community-based, and we took care of each other. Heck, my dad had an annual calf fry in our backyard. Talk about confusing and Bud Dark flowin from a keg. There would be Harleys and Horses at times. Bikers and Cowboys and Cowgirls, disco was king, and so was Waylon, Willie, and the Boys. Take Luchenbach, TX, and drop it into my consciousness as a young boy growing up.
What I learned was a form of purity and honesty. There wasn’t much judging around our house, and our front door was open to all. It creates a natural playground that innovated some good, clean, honest, and sometimes ornery moments. Ornery it may have been, it sure as heck was honest.
I worked my ASS off as a boy. My folks were the first generation moved off the farm. My grandpa saw trouble ahead, and he sent them off to Canyon, Texas. My grandfather arrived in these parts a long time ago. Grandpa innovated through the Dust Bowl on a non-irrigated piece of land outside of Lockney, Texas. It was harsh, and it was a balance of many hardships, emotions, and changing times. Kinda like our current times.
I was taught to look at the sky and plan for the weather that I could read. My sky is big here, and I’ve seen it change throughout the years. It’s just not the same, and I bet all of you can relate. Grandad didn’t use many gadgets. He was the gauge; he tested the soil by holding the soil in his hand.
I come from dirt. I come from grit. 5 yrs ago this month, I was in Mott, North Dakota, on wheat harvest. I was finishing up over 3 years of research and analysis. I come from dirt, but I also come from Big Tech and the kinda tech that made me leave the industry. I worked in the labs, and those labs were innovating and weaponizing the most valuable commodity in the world, #Data.
I could tell you more, but I suggest you dive into the Harvest of Deception. This was the report I wrote when I quit harvest early to get back to Texas so I could start my journey. My journey has now allowed me to travel around that world at least twice and 300k miles in two pick-up trucks across the United States and beyond.
I have held/put on over 9 conferences from the US to Australia.
Texas Slim’s Vision is deep and it IS integrated. I come from cattle paradise and the belly of the beast of our Multi-National Processing Cabal. 85% of our animal protein in the US is now controlled by 4 different corporations. Two of them are not US-based companies. I will have more research and analysis after we all get started in this big ole collaboration.
I’m calling it the
“Great American Health Initiative that is being led by the Great American Rancher/Producer.”
I am the founder of THE Beef Initiative, and we are supporting 100’s of Rancher-Producers across the US and beyond.
We have innovated new tools so I can share with everyone a compass that is going to allow, encourage, and invite you to “Go Shake a Rancher's Hands.”
Our first call to action, you ask? Get signed up at Texas Slim’s Cuts. We have just launched our new platform that is going to give you unlimited Intelligence alongside the purest, cleanest, natural, and honest beef in the nation, straight out of Texas.
Texas once fed a nation, starting way back in the late 1870s, it was after the Caprock opened up and cattle started moving across this nation, just like the bison once did. Their routes were a bit different, but we got the job done, and we innovated and created the best cattle industry this world has ever seen. We have done a lot in 150 years and have made excellent strides to feed the nation and the world. One problem, tho, that we all need to wake up to, we don’t eat our own beef, and we don’t even know where it is coming from.
Once again, there is a lot to learn and to take action on. First things first. I am going to feed this nation ground beef. It is 80% of our total beef consumption in the US, and 85% of that beef is mixed with foreign beef from continents unknown.
Here is an outline of next steps:

“85% of our animal protein in the US is now controlled by 4 different corporations. Two of them are not US-based companies.” This is so disturbing! Thanks for your post, Slim. I always enjoy them.
